SHADOW & LIGHT
 

Photographs of shadows without light are dark.

That being said, I see light in Jungian terms, symbolizing consciousness, awareness, and enlightenment. It represents the clarity of understanding and the illumination of the conscious mind—the journey of individuation in hopes of bringing light into the shadows.

I often photograph with little illumination, shadows which, in Jungian terms, represent the hidden aspects of one’s personality. I find infinite creative gifts in the shadows.
