Fred Kaplan
Born within the grid lines of suburban Los Angeles, Fred remembers the song playing when he was given his first camera (Radar Love by Golden Earring).
After studying photography at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Fred worked professionally as a large format still-life product photographer, visual effects editor, and dramatic and documentary media producer. His photographs are in the Western Water Archives at the Claremont College Library.
Drawn to the organic shapes within the grid, his photographs haveve been called narrative meditations. His documentary "The River Under the City of Angels" was featured in numerous film festivals and viewed over 100,000 times in 80 countries.
All images are available as prints in sizes up 17 x 22 inches for $50 per print. If you have any questions about our work or would like to inquire about commissioning a piece, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We would be happy to hear from you!
